As Thesmós, Ártemis represents the body, because only the physical beings can understand the importance of the sacred law in a chaotic world. Humans adhere to the order of the physical, and wouldn't understand the order of the kosmos even if we tried. Have you ever died and came back to life? During that moment your soul may have entered the realm of the spiritual. Death is important because it transforms, and the most auspicious part of all of this is that it doesn't have to be a physical death. The caterpillar dies and becomes the butterfly and that's why It's supernatural.
